Title: Lennon Marriage Implications
Post by: Greg on January 12, 2016, 09:22:00 pm
I wonder what would have happened had Cyn not gotten pregnant.

John was really depressed at Kenwood and feeling trapped.  He had to have some sense of how he was falling into a role of a father that he resented.  That must have taken a huge toll on him.  Many fathers were away in that era, but still... I tend to think that had he been single, like Paul, he would have been more productive and actually made more, and better, music.

He lay (yes, lay is the past tense of lie) around a lot, literally, at Kenwood.  I think, had he not gotten married, that The Beatles and John would have been even better.

Good point.....or, conversely, a stronger John might have kept his leadership role filled and not created the vacuum into which Macca stepped. Perhaps no Pepper then? Interesting to think...
