We used to drive our cars out on the ice. Of course, it was 2 feet thick at the time. Great fun pulling the parking brake at 40 miles an hour.  ;D

Here's how my brain works. I was looking at my comment about the ice being 2 ft thick and wondered what the record was of ice thickness on The Great Lakes. I found that the ice on Lake Erie last year was over 3 ft and that the US Coast Guard tried out their new ice breaker on it. So it's nice to know I wasn't imagining it haha...or at least pulling up some selective childhood memory.  ;D
