That was cool.  It's also nice because it's all true.  That wasn't just a salute to "Hey, you've been around a long time.  Let's honor you and say nice things about you."

I've watched that video a number of times. "Ringo was the coolest one", love that.

But yeah his drumming is so amazingly distinctive, I've always loved his playing it's got character in spades. He just gets it right, nice to hear him getting the love he deserves from a whole lot of drummers.

I love how he did some fancy drumming over In my Life to make his point that your playing needs to serve the music. It completely messed up the song.
