Title: Bernard Purdie
Post by: 2 of 3 on January 31, 2016, 04:56:17 pm
This is pretty interesting. Mr Purdie says Ringo didn't play drums on the first 2 Beatle albums.

” Over the years he has claimed to have played on 21 unspecified tracks, while elsewhere stating that Ringo didn’t play anything on the Beatles’ first two albums.

Mr. Purdie is a great, great drummer, an innovator.....he is also a well-known self promoter. I think I've heard enough of Mr. Purdie's work to state that, to my ears, there is no way that's him on The Beatles' first two albums. If that's not Ringo on the first two albums, then it isn't him on the next two either. The sound and style are very consistent.
