These guys should've been a bigger band than they were. They had the melody of The Beatles, the power of The Who, and were innovative with the use of violin bows on guitar and feedback etc. This was back in 1966!!
Here's 'Through My Eyes' - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-8ocTsARHEM
This would be their heaviest song 'How Does It Feel To Feel' - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FaSlR_drSak
This is their very cool cover of 'Cool Jerk' - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oDhRcXtozUI
This is their biggest hit 'Painter Man' (later covered by Boney M) - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uC4CcclI2NI (video comes from the German 'Beat Club' show)
This is my favourite song of theirs - 'Tom Tom' (from '67 not '68) - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JNa9fxsGjG8
Anyone else familiar with their stuff? As far as '2nd Division' bands of the 60s go, these guys were pretty good!

I'd heard "Painter Man" and that was about it......a talented group, for sure. With any group, there are so many things that have to go right to make a big splash. Looking at their bio, I'd say the band had some personality conflicts (a number of personnel changes) and indifferent management.

Jeeze Louise...I've never heard of this band or any of those songs. Crikey...where was I? Thanks for the heads up Kyle. 8)

THIS is really really cool. Wow.

They're very much like The Who, aren't they. ;D
In fact, Pete Townshend was so impressed by them that he invited guitarist Eddie Phillips to join The Who (don't know what happened there - it all fell through). And Jimmy Page was so influenced by them that he imitated Phillips's use of the violin bow on songs - of course 'Dazed and Confused' was his showpiece with the bow.

'I Am The Walker' is a great song - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZWhSJqq4yYE
