Title: Talking
Post by: Greg on September 01, 2017, 07:26:19 pm
How is it that Olivia has her American accent almost exactly intact after living in London for almost 40 yrs while Linda seemed to have a British accent within a few yrs of living in the UK?

I guess it's different for everybody. My brother lived in the UK for 25 years and didn't pick up any accent. Then there is Gillian Anderson, who sounds really weird now with her heavy British accent...but weirdly loses it when talking to other Americans. Linda, to me, sounded more like a Mid Atlantic accent. Like a stage actor accent...not British..but not North Amercian either.
