Title: The Elvis Presley.
Post by: Greg on October 29, 2017, 05:22:08 pm
What do you think of Elvis?  I love Elvis.  I just think hes great.  His voice is second to no ones voice.  He was so electric in his early days.  The guy is a one in a billion.

This 3 min, although later in his career is my favorite song of his.  This 3 minutes is a great Elvis vocal.  It's too bad he had no one to tell him....stop....no...enough.

I can dig me some Elvis. I generally prefer his earlier, pre-army output...

Also love the solo in this one....and a story about it!

“I don’t remember now exactly what I had nailed down for the solo instrumental part. It was in an odd key … well, for most guitar players, I would say. When my instrumental part came, I absolutely just got lost. I didn’t know where I was at. But from the experience we had already gained in these months behind us, in playing on stage, you go ahead, you just keep on going, and this is what I did. And this was the take that was released.”

Funny about Elvis. I have one of his records. That's a lie...I also have his Christmas Album(it's awesome). I also love his movies. I know! But there is an innocence to them. You know they are bad and you know he's not a loner who fixes cars and...CAN SING! Just in time to save his sweetheart's favourite uncle's restaurant/gas station by putting on a talent show to raise money.  But they are fun.  :)
Plus...dude can sing!
