I am actually liking these songs.....better than the songs from "New".

It's funny, I haven't listened to New much yet I'm excited that Paul is putting out another album. My initial reaction is OK so far, I don't want to listen to them too much before I get the album.
I think I find it very reassuring that Paul continues to make music. That he want to write songs record and sing them.

My primary issue with "New" was how compressed the sound was....squeezed the life out of much of that one.
I too am very happy Paul continues to write and record tunes.....if it gives him joy, that can't help but be a good thing.

Yeah I think he enjoys doing it, it's cool to see he's still creative, still making new music, but also if I love a work of Paul's or not, I am always interested to see what he will do. I've never had the sense that Paul has lost his gift for music, I suppose I think at this stage in his career everything we get is a bonus and more than we could have expected.

Kind of odd to release a few singles so far in advance of the album isn't it? September 7th release date. ???

I haven't seen the track listing for the new album, but maybe it's like the old Beatle days...those songs won't even be on the album? That would be cool. 8)
