Merv and I were discussing the other day, artists who seem to disappear overnight. No...not one hit wonders...but HUGE stars that all of a sudden..poof!

I mentioned Prince.

I remember saying John Mellencamp.....but I would add Garth Brooks to the list. He was freakin' Everywhere, then did the whole alter-ego thing (Chris Gaines) and was never a force again.
