I was gonna write a review of this album, but I was doing some research about "Thrillington" and unearthed a wonderful article about it....quite informative!

Can I really hear it sonically thru my PC? It's an instrumental re-recording of Ram, I know. But can I really sit back and listen to it from beginning to end?

Boy do I sound naive...

I owe you a big salute, kind sir. it was quite listenable. and it was different...er...it was not exactly what I thought it would be. I spent quite a bit of time listening to youtube that night, in fact.

It's well recorded and big ups to the drummer....love his style! Herbie Flowers, who played bass on "Thrillington", also played on a couple of Macca's solo albums.

You know...after Kiss's On The Bottom.......perhaps Paul should do a similar thing with his own songs. Half Paul/Half Thrillington. There's no reason why he couldn't do a jazz standards kind of thing with his own songs. Though...I'd rather he did with all new material.  :)

That is a great article and I have only just bought this album and hgeard it for the first time. I had thought it was an orchestral version of RAM, I was surprise d when i heard it as it is very jazzy. Reading this article and having heard it, it is actually a unique sound creation. Unusual, I look forward to spending some more time with it.
