I thought that some people here might enjoy this album DAKOTA AVENUE by Sherry Rich, a musician from Melbourne, Australia who has been a part of several musical projects, including a group called Girl Monstar and, more recently, The Grapes. I really like this album, which to me has some very Beatle-ish sounds (including the mellotron, pump organ and sitar). She recorded the album in Chicago with the late Jay Bennett (best known for his work with Wilco) starting in 1999 and ending in 2001. At the time of Jay Bennett's untimely death in May 2009, the project, though fully recorded, remained unfinished for nearly ten years. It was finally completed in Australia in 2011 and put out in 2012. It's very much the history of a lost album.
I bought the album at CDBaby:
