So the "deluxe" version of this album has 8 extra tracks. I mean...come on people. (insert pulling hair out smilie here)  >:(

Just got this discounted for $5 and entered with very low expectations that were met.

I basically agree with Kyle's comments. I think it wasn't just that it was Paul's live band I suspect the producer has to take some of the flack. The performances are phoned in, samey and boring. I mean this answered the question how do take a bunch of great songs a whole lot of talented artists and combine them in such a way to create a dull cd?

I did like the Brian Wilson, I'm a big fan of Wilson, this actually has an interesting arrangement. Bob Dylan's raspy voice gave his track character  and I quite liked Barry Gibbs When I'm 64.

They would have been much better off asking the artists to record their own versions with their own producer and musicians, it would have been more disparate in sound but the songs would have had individuality and a bit of flair.
