Another one:  The Beatles never recorded at Abbey Road Studio.

It wasn't called Abbey Road Studios until the 70's....

Whoa. I didn't know that. So it was just called EMI?

It was called EMI Studios.....the name change was likely due to the popularity given the place by The Beatles and the album named for the road the place is located on. Good one!

Here's a more commonly known one: John Lennon, who famously detested Macca's song "Obla-di. Obla-da", came up with the distinctive piano opening for it.

Oh wow, I didn't know this either!

Just like I was kinda shocked when I read that 3 Beatles took their turns playing the drums on 'Back In The USSR' (Paul, John and George - no Ringo) and the final mix is a composite of those efforts.

The top-selling post-Beatle solo album is by George.  All Things.

As it should be. Brilliant stuff that one :)

Beatles Tour Rider:  "Four cots, mirrors, an ice cooler, portable TV set, clean towels and a platform for Ringo Starr and his drums."

This really can be categorized as 'fact I forgot'.

Walter Cronkite really introduced America to The Beatles on tv.

Here's a trivia fact that recently came to light - in 1969, Bob Dylan tried to record an album with The Beatles and the Stones!

Apparently Paul and Mick weren't very keen at all (I would've thought Macca would've been all for something like that to try and reinvigorate things again), but yeah plans were underway and Glyn Johns did everything he could to try and make it happen. George and Keith were the keenest!
