Being from NZ it's great to be hearing the love from you guys for Tim, he's too often over shadowed by his brother. Tim did some great work with Split Enz, he wrote some great songs with Neil for Crowded House too. My favourite of his solo albums is actually the poppy Imaginary Kingdom, excellent tight pop album, great songs well produced. His solo career is very eclectic.

I was at the Christchurch NZ show on that 2006 tour - absolutely marvelous!

I remember seeing Tim Finn's 'Escapade' record when I was about 9 and really wanting my parents to buy it for me, as it had 'Fraction Too Much Friction', 'Staring At The Embers', 'Through The Years' etc on it and I loved all those songs. I never got to hear the record and always wondered what the rest of the album was like. As the years progressed, I never got to see it re-released, never saw it on CD. The next time I heard from Tim Finn was the 'How'm I Gonna Sleep' single, followed by the 'Parihaka' single with the Herbs and then he joined Crowded House for their Woodface album.

But I always wondered about that 'Escapade' album. I still have that vision of seeing it on the shelf in a dept store somewhere back in 1983..
