Happy is the word for that.  Holy sh** that was great.

I am also so glad to see that guy get every moment of respect thats possible.

He wrote so many great songs.

The BGs also took so much flak for writing catchy music when much of rock had become boring trudging bs.

Agreed...totally. Plus, they'd already had a fine career before getting swept into the disco dustbin.

You mean the disco dustbin that was lined with 1000 dollar bills?  ;)

I'm still kind of baffled that bands that are absolutely HUGE for so long can just fall off the face of the earth. The Bee Gee's were really lucky to find a way to be huge twice.

Yeah.  Good point 2.  Great songwriting.  Unique voices.  They were one of those lucky bands to come back huge werent they?

The Beatles only made it huge once........and its still going! ha

One could argue that they did it three times, as in the late 80's early 90's with the single "One" and the albums that followed. It really does come down to the songs, though, doesn't it?

Oh yeah......that period of their career reminds me of the first time I ever heard the band called Live. I had just heard a couple of tunes from the late eighties Bee Gees and then heard Live's "Pain Lies By the Riverside" and I thought, "Wow! Is there not a style the Bee Gees can't master?"

Nice, interesting to see Chris on acoustic, none of his distinctive bass, but it works well good arrangement.

Cream on the Glen Campbell show. Weird set up, but you get to watch Ginger Baker a lot.  :)

That's cool. I didn't know that Duran Duran had a side project.  Too bad the lads didn't try that too. :)
