I think we're going to find out what it's like to have Trump in the White House.  Dude is going to win this election.

Great...first thing I've ever said on here that is correct and it's this?  :o

He's been elected, I'm going to try to keep an open mind about this, as Kyle has said he's said some good things, he has also said some crazy things. Let's see what he actually does, if he brings good jobs to the US then he deserves praise, if he thwarts efforts to curb climate change then he deserves censure.
There is certainly a case for curbing political correctness.
We live in interesting times.

I'm of the same mind. It's a bit early to freak out I would think. Let's not forget the guy has an ego as big as the moon. He's going to want everyone to like him, so it would be in his own self-interest to try and please everyone. He may be more centrist than anyone expects. I worry a bit about his climate stance, but IMO we are past the point of no return anyway. We should have been worrying about the planet 30 years ago. I very curious on how he's going to bring back manufacturing jobs. I'm typing on a computer that probably  has 0% North American made products in it. Same with my phone....and my car....and..and...and....  We do indeed live in interesting times.  ???

I don't think we are, but a President that doesn't think there is a problem is hardly likely to help solve it, I just hope that he doesn't do any thing to hinder Tesla Motors, as i see them as one of the brightest stars in the transformation of our energy sector. I'm very keen to see how they go with their third generation and cheaper electric car the Model 3 that has had huge pre orders, this could be a real trend setter. What they're doing with solar roofs and energy storage is equally revolutionary.

Merv are you feeling a Tweet coming on?

He's certainly ushering in a new era. He seems to have no conception or concern about conflicts of interest. He is in a world of his own as far as information is concerned, he's certainly not building good relations with the press.

But I do wonder about the effectiveness of the Women's march, surely a protest should be about something in particular, there are certainly plenty of issues they could have focused on, but it seemed to just mean whatever any one protester wanted it to mean and to me that is meaningless.

These are strange times.

"By the prickling of my thumbs, something wicked this way comes."

A line from MacBeth that I kept hearing in my head on Inauguration day...

Very good, some Shakespeare! I didn't get that and I do like Shakespeare although I am a little wary of MacBeth.

I don't think things are looking good for the USA...he doesn't care for the law so hopefully he will be impeached and hopefully he doesn't cause too much damage before he does so.

How are people feeling in the USA?

Trump is moving fast and aggressively, with a complete lack of diplomacy, I really wonder if he'll tear the country apart, bring into focus major divide lines.

He's obviously causing concern in major Govt departments with the lock downs. Then there are people with legitimate visas that are being held, that is extreme.

How people in the USA feel depends largely upon whether of not you voted for Trump.....those who did vote for him are getting a lot of what they wanted. Those who didn't are feeling very disenfranchised and are counting the days until the mid-term elections, when they hope to elect a congress that will check Trump before he can do any more damage. My personal feelings on the subject lie more along the lines of the latter....I have not cared for Trump at any time since I first heard of him in the 1980's...I thought him to be vulgar and 'cheap'. I have been shocked by the fact he got elected, but I cannot say I cared much for the other choice. A better alternative she would have been...

2 of 3 posted back in July that Trump would win.

2?  There is a casino near us.  What number should I pick if I go to the roulette wheel?  Thanks.
