yeah it is. and I forget how thin he used to be.

last time I saw Elvis Costello he had a wheel (think wheel of fortune) and he'd spin it, and play whatever song the needle pointed to.

gotta love a live performance so unstructured.

It's neat hearing the girls scream...you always think of Elvis and the Beatles...and of course Sinatra....I wonder who the girls screamed for before Frank?

Question though....I hope someone can answer. How did singers at this time hear themselves? I'm guessing there was no monitor, and with the band behind him so close...how does he not get drowned out? I did notice the band leader's hand movements to suggest playing quietly....also even Frank made a gesture to tone it down a bit. It must have been something to experience in those days.  :)

In March 2011, I was in Amoeba Records in Hollywood killing time before a concert when I heard this group from Paris, France called 'Revolver' (name from the Beatles' album) doing an in-store set. I've been trying to follow them since.

I found this cover of "Nevertheless" although they're inspiration was the Mills Brothers' version:

This is pretty cool. It's Jolene played at 33 instead of 45. Dolly sounds amazing at any speed.  ;D
