Pete Ham
« on: April 24, 2016, 10:01:20 am »

Most people know the sad story of Badfinger. After Pete Ham died,  his estate released a couple of albums of Demos that showed what could have been. It amazes me that some of these songs didn't make to Badfinger albums. Everybody got their turn in that band. I'm not saying the other members of the band weren't good songwriters, but Pete Ham was on an entirely different level. The guy knew melody. He knew how to play guitar. Damn that 27 Club. Grrr.

A demo from 1967 that finally made it to an album in 73.

A cleaned up version of We Are For The Dark. The bootleg I have is terrible, so it's nice to hear this.

I can't believe how bad this mix/production was on the Midnight Special. You'd think they'd have the live sound down on this show. No Matter What? More like No Matter What the F.  You can't even hear the drums and the guitars are out of tune. Jeepers.

its amazing it sounded as good as it did with that mix.  Yet another reason to say that band was so good.  Thx for posting that 2.  I love weird stuff like that.

Yeah for sure. I was just a bit surprised that some are pretty sloppy considering these are LA session musicians.
