Great Story

I've read this before, but the holiday season is upon us.  :)

Awesome story, Two......a reminder of a shred of humanity amongst the horrors of war.

I usually am somewhat turned off by "feel-good" stories involving war, but this was very inspiring.  Its especially troubling to me when theyre always showing the returning story of the surprise visit.  The fact is that war is hell, and there are 1000s who dont come home at all and 10s of thousands who are emotionally injured for years and years.


I had just recently read a story about a group of English soldiers who found a German soldier isolated in some forest.  The guy in charge of the English unit decided to let the guy walk back to his unit....spared his life.  The German soldier walked back and reported the incident and disclosed the location of the English unit.  The Germans then came en masse and killed all of the soldiers who let the original German go free.


If I was just a few years older I could have easily been a Canadian citizen 2 if you know what I mean.  Ha!  We'd be neighbors and carpool together!  ;D   [size=78%] [/size]
