Know who did that? A lady named Lari White, who's had her own singing career in Nashville, but might be as well known for being in the movie "Castaway". She played the lady whose package Tom Hanks delivers after his return to civilization. Well, it's assumed the package belongs to her....she's the lady at the intersection who gives Tom directions as he's leaving the road she is turning on to. Neat, huh?

BTW. Been a Mullins fan for years, but it was that production that made me buy it instantly.

I was so blown away with the great sound on the Mullins track, I HAD to know who was responsible.....it doesn't sound like a typical SM record. I mean, the sound on his records tends to be quite neutral, letting the song speak for itself. This album, not just the one song, had a sound unlike the rest of his. When I saw the name Lari White, I recognized it from the late 90's when she put a number of songs in the country charts. Same thing with "Castaway"....thought I recognized her in the movie and stayed for the credits to see if it was her. I had NO idea she was in the record production end of things now.

Both Sides Now

What a voice and what a melody.
I look at her and see youth.  She's so old now...so am I.

She was not an anti-war activist in the 60s.  Youd think she would have been.

Why did you pick this song?

Joni:  "Americans have decided to be stupid and shallow since 1980. Madonna is like Nero; she marks the turning point."
