2017 Best Selling LPs
« on: January 05, 2018, 11:33:50 am »

It would be funny to go back in time and tell J P G R that in 50 years they'd still have the top two selling albums of the year 50 years later; and it would be two albums that theyd already made.  ...but youd be right.

Is that the best selling vinyl?

This:
https://www.washingtonpost.com/news/arts-and-entertainment/wp/2018/01/13/the-list-of-2017s-top-selling-vinyl-albums-shows-the-format-isnt-just-for-trendy-fans/?noredirect=on&utm_term=.c87ca17f078e

Sgt Pepper and Abbey Rd, also interesting for those who say Sgt Pepper has dated and it isn't as well regarded now as when it came out. Huh! That album is still magic

Also interesting that mojo has just created a list of classic British albums and Sgt Pepper is top of that list too.

Did I mention that it's my favourite Beatles album?

That Mojo list was pretty good. Of course, it will change daily if they did one every day. :) I must admit it scared me a bit when Joy Division was shown near the start. LOL  :o

Yeah it was pretty standard list, Beatles, Bowie, Zep, Queen, Rolling Stones, Black Sabbath, Pink Floyd all make sense

Don't care too much about Sex Pistols, the Smiths or Oasis but again they're understandable

A list is always a good start for an argument
