I must admit that when I first saw a trailer for this show, my first reaction was..wow...what a hot mess this is going to be. But...it's turning into one of my guilty pleasures. If you take out the jokes(and there aren't that many per episode), this show is pretty much Star Trek TNG. In fact, I'm not sure how they are getting away with it. I'm surprised CBS/Paramount hasn't sued their butts off. There are some decent storylines and the FX/CGI are quite good too. It's being trashed by the critics. I find it pretty entertaining.  :)
