The plot is of a guy dying of cancer who turns to manufacturing meth.
If you're interested in the show, even after reading that, then I'd say it's very much a tragic tale.
If you're still interested after that I'd say that it's intriguing and has interesting plot lines as well as being a show where you really feel part of the community in which they live.
I had heard how great it was, and maybe that's why I feel it wasn't as good as I thought it would be. I'd say it's close to being a great show, but still I would label it "very good".
People that I know, who have seen it, just absolutely love it. Just like all the people who have told you that you should see it.
Here's a weird twist...I would watch it just so you can then watch Better Call Saul and understand the context of Saul.
