Tom Petty's NOT Hits Shows
« on: May 31, 2013, 06:16:29 pm »

Great article about some recent smaller venue shows wher TP and his band are playing shows of only covers and deep cuts from their own records.......

Great idea, and I wish Macca would do the same.

I was a bit surprised though when Mike Campbell said he didn't know how Tweeter and the Monkey Man goes. I mean, he's close to Petty and the Wilburys, and a seasoned guitarist. Heck, I haven't played 'Tweeter' on guitar for maybe 20 years now but I could still recite right now every chord progression and every little lick, and quote a good percentage of the lyrics too! I just found it weird that a professional musician just couldn't pick up and play that song.

Glad that they're doing it though!
