I was totally agreeing with the list until I got to number 10.

No real problem with London Town, but my list would be totally different. There would be no 'Wingspan'; for a compilation I'd be more likely to recommend the double LP 'All The Best'. The albums would be different too. Definitely no 'Electric Arguments'. For an oddball pick, I'd put in 'Press To Play' - it always seems to be the album that when I play to people they say 'I didn't know Paul could make records like this'. Quirky, almost alternative and not just conforming to a particular idiom.

Same. But then again, a lot of my favourite albums of different bands are often the least liked amongst fans in general!

I think, unlike me, you guys are true musicians. so, when you are listening to an album you hear different things than the general public. it might be the chord progressions, or the way the drums are hit, or the nuance of the vocals that make this or that a favorite of yours.

the only thing I can liken it to is me and movies. some movies I love are total bombs at the box office and some even I can kind of admit are total crap. but it might be the direction, or the acting of one person, or even one line in the movie that makes it my favorite. I pay attention to the details of movies and that may sway me one way or another.

I think that is what you do, pay attention to the details. and I think that's why sometimes your favorites may be off the beaten path. but I think that's a good thing.

That says a lot about what Paul has done as a musician. Lot's of things to choose from....and not one of use would pick the same 11. Pretty great eh?  :)
