George Harrison to be remembered in Hollywood next Friday

George Harrison, 12 years after his passing, will be remembered and honored by his fans and admirers at a public gathering being held next Friday at his Hollywood Walk of Fame star in Hollywood.Fans of George Harrison and the Beatles are invited to bring flowers and candles to place around his star. Fans will also be invited to perform music and poetry at the public remembrance during an "open mic" segment led by Chris Carter, the popular radio host of "Breakfast With the Beatles".
Harrison, the legendary singer and songwriter who was often called "the quiet Beatle", passed away on November 29, 2001 in Los Angeles after a long bout with cancer. He was born February 25, 1943 in Liverpool, England.The event takes place on Friday, November 29, from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm at George Harrison's Hollywood Walk of Fame star, which is located in front of the Capitol Records Tower Building at 1750 North Vine Street in Hollywood, California.For further information call 310-399-1000, email
