he's done a fine job of mixing it up...(okay, maybe not a fine job, but he does manage to get a few surprises in here and there each tour)...

i'm not sick and tired of the john and George tributes. now that he's started them...keep going.

I was on Ticketmaster the other day looking at ticket prices for Paul's show in Orlando.(not for me obviously...just curious) The cheapest seat I could find was 279 bucks. Maybe I was looking in the wrong place, but that's just nuts. Front row were 2000. Sorry Paul...even if I had the money I'd pass.   :(

Yeah...the Stones are playing here and they are getting crucified for "only" charging 185 for the cheap seats. If I had it...really had disposable income...sure. But who has that?

I took my whole fam to Wrigley Field to see Paul two summers ago. Practically still paying that off.

I've been giving this some thought...I call upon paul fans to join me in declaring: paul, we release you. whatever social setlist contract you think exists between us is officially now and forever nullified, voided and torn asunder. you are officially pardoned.

please: play whatever you want. forgo the hits, play the misses. play jazz, play bluegrass. throw out the selist altogether. try improvising, try...(gasp)...failing. do anything but this put upon resignation to the slavish "demands" of your fans, because frankly, it makes us all sound like jerks.

for once, paul...play a concert for yourself.

Sadly, even Paul notices that when he does anything other than a hit, half the crowd goes for a pee.  Not all of course...let's hope Lampie can hold it for 3 hrs ;)

Lampie DID in fact hold it for three hours (and much longer)...

I can barely form two sentences right now cause I am exhausted, but I will say this of the concert: I had one of the best moments of my life last night. I sang every song to the top of my lungs and screamed and cried and laughed. There's no wiping the inner smile off for a while. a long long while.

i find that it is hard for me to a put a review in words. so i apologize. the glow of the concert is still kind of oozing around in my body. the day of, in fact, in the days leading up to the concert i would have moments of: oh my god, is this really going to happen??!!?? it was on the 2.5 hour drive to orlando that day that really got me believing in it all. i cried several times. spontaneously. and when paul walked out on stage my whole body shuddered, involutarily. i was crying like a baby. i sat glued to that stage for three hours. paul is awesome. i love paul.

i will post my favorite moments as they come to the surface. for now though, know that my ultimate favorite was golden slumbers :D

Funny how that happens, eh? Suddenly, there is this dude whose music has been a big part of the soundtrack of your life....and your eyes sweat a little. Or a lot. Glad your experience was so good!
