Let me tell you things that are cooler than that clip.  Sgt Pepper album, the Packers winning the Super Bowl...maybe a few other things.  That was just killer diller man.

That was ultimately nifty! Reminds me of a film noir version of Postmodern Jukebox.

I hate this cover as well! But I'm also not a fan of New Order, though I do have the 'Blue Monday' 12" - it's the only half-decent thing they did. Joy Division had so much more verve and vigour going for them, to go from that to a vapid synthpop band with a terrible lead singer with zero presence compared with Ian Curtis - how they carried on for so long I'll never know!

I don't listen to Joy Division now, but I agree, they meant something had a style and cut their own path. New Order always seemed vapid to me, others seemed impressed but i just couldn't see by what.

I don't get either of the band(s). Every time I hear either of them my first thought is....ok...20 seconds in and I've heard the whole song already. Just repeating a lick for 7 minutes isn't a song. Lyrically....boo hoo. Stop whining for goodness sakes. I don't know...I guess I just didn't relate.  ???

LOL. Pretty much. Leonard Cohen and Nick Drake are beautifully artistic with their melancholy. But in the end I felt no desire to follow Ian Curtis into his emotional quagmire. I don't think you're missing out on much. Yet the music and delivery all created a certain consistent if gloomy atmosphere.

To my brother in law, they are 10 times better than the Beatles. And he loves the Beatles. I dread getting into a car with him. It's non-stop JD/NO on the car stereo. Though, it does give me a chance to razz him over it. 30 minutes in I can say...wow this is a long song!  ;D

What really annoys me is those artists I really like he hates....but those artists list JD/NO as their influences. Art is weird.  :D

My goodness. This guy does Pauls bass line and the melody too. Crazy talent.

That surprised me, I quite liked it. It worked and highlighted the song in a slightly new way.

Great cover of Bruce Cockburn. Crazy how much he sounds like Bruce too. I actually requested this and he played it. Who knew I had that much power!  :o ;)

That was great. I can't say I like her voice much(in this song I mean) but the backing vocals were really nice.  :)

Man thats so interesting.  I liked her voice for what it was.  Im curious; why is it that you would say you dont like her voice?  Is it weak?  Im coming from the point of view that no one's taste is wrong.  What one likes, and doesnt like, is something to learn from...and I dont judge someone's likes and dislikes.
